Do you feel every time you jump into Facebook to create an ad it takes you SO much longer than it should??
A large part of cutting down on your time creating Facebook Ads is the prep you put into the ad. Here are a few things that are extremely helpful to gather before you even jump into Facebook.
-
Collect any assets you may have.
This can include images, videos, email lists, graphics, brand guides, freebies, etc. Collecting this information ahead of time will allow you to get straight to ad creation once you’re in Ads Manager, rather than fumbling through your computer trying to find everything.
-
Know what you’re promoting.
This may seem like it should go without saying, but it’s important to know what you’re promoting. Are you promoting a free download? $10 off your first purchase? Are you simply trying to drive traffic to your website? Getting clear with what you’re offering viewers will help prevent you from staring at the cursor, wondering what you should put in your advertisement.
-
What’s your objective?
Facebook offers SO many different objectives when it comes to ad creation. Did you know that it DOES matter which you choose and that Facebook will actually optimize your campaign based on the objective you choose? For example, if you’re looking to push sales of a product, using Conversions (Purchase) may be a better option than Traffic because you want Facebook to show your ad to the people who have shown that they’re more likely to make a purchase, not just those that tend to visit other websites. Want to dive more into which Objective is best for your campaign? Facebook offers a bunch of information about each of their objectives.
-
Create your ad text ahead of time.
Have you ever created an ad and the draft didn’t save properly because Facebook was having a glitch? Save yourself the headache, my friends!!! Creating a document of what you want to say, your headline, and the Call To Action you’ll use will cut down on time and frustration later.
-
Create your Audience.
Another key step to saving time while creating your Facebook Ad is to actually create your Audience ahead of time!
If you head to the three horizontal bars on the top left and scroll over to Audiences, you can actually create and save your audience, so it’s ready to go when it’s time for you to create your ad!
